You have no idea how perfect the timing was for me stumbling across this article! I’m headed to Italy for the first time in January to spend a month in Sicily and am so so excited about the food. You’re article has now made me a million times more hyper than I was! My partner is not impressed… (it’s very early).

Also, as a lover of food tours, have you been on one in Copenhagen? If not I really recommend them, such good food here!

I am not really one for doing organized tours either as I generally much prefer to wander and go at my own pace, but I have to agree that of all the tours one could take, a food tour is certainly the best! This looks like a really great one with a good mix of traditional fare and some slightly more adventurous items you wouldn’t necessarily discover on your own. I normally really enjoy offal too, however, I discovered in Cambodia that lung is really not my thing (I don’t like the flavor), so I’m not sure how I’d do with the spleen sandwich.

Your photos are amazing!! And eating a cannolo in Sicily sounds like such a dream, but I’m also still a little traumatized from imagining what it must feel like to chew cartilage…

Oh, good gracious, I can only IMAGINE the smells that you were smelling along this food tour. This looks incredible. I love street food and, really, is there a better place to go on a street food tour? YUM. Thanks for sharing! (And making me hungry)

I wouldn’t associate Italy with street food so it was really interesting to see what Palermo is known for! Food tours are definitely great introductions to the food and culture of a place, and expose you to things you might not find or want to order yourself. I definitely would have needed a push to try that pane ca’ Meusa!
