I’m in the same boat…and looking similar options actually. Would grad school be for history? (I majored in history too!) I have a friend from the US who I lived with in London who then went on to do a history masters program there if you’re interested in more info…

I agree, going back to the US is last on the list for a reason I’m sure I won’t make any decisions until the last minute as that seems to be how I operate. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll go check that out now, and thanks for the comment!

All except for the last one sound like good options. Hunt down “Cari in the City” blog. She did the WHV in Oz and might be able to give you some tips. More than enough people doing the nomad work-from-the-road thing. We are working on getting toward that.

Good luck with your choice. Maybe even put it off a bit and see how travel grabs you? Maybe you will run into an option along the way?

I agree. The only thing holding me back from grad school is the pile of debt I’d have because of it. It’s unfortunate that tuition is so expensive My working holiday dream is England, but it doesn’t look like that will be returning anytime soon…

I have a BA in the humanities too Maybe you can continue travel through freelancing and the blog and save for your master’s at the same time…. though they all sound like wonderful possibilities

Man I can totally relate, I have no clue what to do after I finish my contract in Paris. I really want to go to grad school but the tuition fees are outrageous! I wish Ireland had WHVs for Americans, I’d be there in a heartbeat.

Coming back from living abroad is never easy, I had a horrible time readjusting after both stints in Italy, which is why I need to have a bunch of options ready! I don’t want that to happen again!

Hi there. I spent six months in London for my study abroad. Coming home was exciting (I missed my family and my then-boyfriend/now-husband) but also devastating. I missed life in Europe and had gotten used to it!

Sounds like you have some really fantastic options ahead of you. Good luck with grad school… it could be super fantastic!
